Strang's Notebook

This is a reconstruction of “Manfred Strang's Field Notes,” which was once published on TOT1899.com. Back in 2006 it was created in Flash, but since Flash has been discontinued in modern browsers, the notebook's contents have been preserved while the interaction design and visual presentation have been rebuilt using current web technologies.

These notes are the investigative record Manfred Strang, a reporter for The New York Globe Telegraph, compiled on Hotel Hightower and the people and events surrounding it. They serve as an important source for reading the Tower of Terror story from Strang's point of view.

Several pages near the end of the notebook correspond to the story of the “Hotel Tour Game,” once available on TOT1899.com, and they help fill in Strang's state of mind, which was only shown in fragments within the game itself.
