The New York Globe Telegraph

This is a recreation of “The New York Globe Telegraph,” which was once published on TOT1899.com. The original version was created using Flash, but since Flash has been discontinued in modern browsers, it has been rebuilt from scratch using modern web technologies while preserving the text of the newspaper articles.

Each issue's publication date was a date within the 1912 story, while also corresponding to the same calendar date in 2006. As readers, we could pick up the newspaper as New York citizens in 1912 and experience the sense of time advancing in real time toward September 4, the start of the hotel tour (and the attraction's opening).
